Parents' grief after cadet dies

Eve Anderson, 14, was on a training exercise at RM Condor, Colliston, Arbroath, when she collapsed late on Saturday.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of paramedics who tried to revive her.
It is believed that Eve, a third-year pupil at Craigie High School, Dundee, suffered an asthma attack.
A statement released by her family through Tayside Police said: "The parents and family are devastated, but thankful for such a bright star lighting up their lives".
Eve was reportedly practising for a drill competition with a dozen other cadets.
RM Condor was said to be quieter than usual because 45 Commando, who are based there, are away training for a deployment to Afghanistan later in the year.
The teenager's commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander William Wylie, said it was a sad loss for the Dundee Sea Cadet Corp, and for society.
Tayside Police said they are continuing to liaise with her family following the tragic death.
A spokesman said: "Eve's death is not being treated as suspicious and her next of kin have been informed. A death report is being submitted to the procurator fiscal."
