Park boy 'may be happy slap victim'

A teenager who was beaten to death in a park could have been the victim of a "happy slap" attack filmed by his murderers, it has been reported.

Amar Aslam's killers may have recorded the last moments of the 17-year-old's life and later swapped the footage on phones.

Police are questioning six children and a 20-year-old man about the murder in a walled garden in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

Officers would not confirm or deny the reports that detectives were told the attack was filmed, and that the inquiry team was trying to find the images to use as evidence.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "We are looking into a number of possible avenues."

The tragedy has "shattered" the dead teenager's family, his sister said.

In a statement issued through the police, Samreen Aslam said: "Nothing can replace our brother and we still believe he will come through the door.

"This has shattered our family and it won't be the same without him.

"There will always be a gap where there is a part missing.

"Amar's nickname was Moon because he was like a shining moon to us."
