Pay protest at BT's annual meeting

The Communication Workers Union said BT relies on thousands of agency staff who are expected to provide the same level of customer service as permanent employees, but they receive less pay.

Some agency workers at BT have not had a pay rise for more than four years, deputy general secretary Andy Kerr claimed.

The union will demonstrate outside the AGM in London and plans to raise the issue inside the meeting.
