Pc killers face stabbing charge

Two men who murdered Pc Sharon Beshenivsky are due to appear in court charged with stabbing a fellow prisoner.

Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, 26, from Kenton, north-west London, and Yusuf Abdillh Jamma, 20, of Small Heath, Birmingham, who murdered the police officer during a bungled robbery in Bradford in November 2005, are charged with attacking a fellow prisoner at high security Frankland Prison in County Durham in March.

The alleged victim was a 22-year-old who was also serving a life sentence for murder.

They will appear before North Durham Magistrates, sitting in Peterlee, via videolink to face a charge of wounding with intent.

The hearing was due to be held last week but had to be adjourned because of the strike by prison officers.
