The 27-year-old victim, named locally as Elliot Guy, was found with a stab wound to his neck in Tufnell Park, north London and died later in hospital.
Police are questioning two men and a woman who were arrested in connection with the attack.
His death came as police questioned a 16-year-old youth about another fatal stabbing in the capital after teenager Frederick Moody died in hospital after being attacked near his home in south London on Thursday.
The latest stabbing happened not far from the scene of the death of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella, whose funeral was held on Friday.
Metropolitan Police said they were called to Junction Road, Tufnell Park, at 2.50am and found the victim suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to the Whittington Hospital where he died at about 4am.
Police said: "We believe the victim had attended a house party near to where he was found." They said they were keeping an open mind as to a motive for the killing.
A 41-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman are being held at separate North London police stations.
In Tufnell Park the victim's blood and a pile of blood-soaked dressings were still visible on the pavement where forensic officers combed the street where he died.
The victim is thought to have been stabbed in the neck at a party in Junction Road during an argument. According to local residents, he staggered on to Dartmouth Park Hill before collapsing outside the Dome Music Hall, where security staff attempted to revive him.
