Police return suicide rope to widow

Angie Gerrelli found the blood-stained yellow tow rope in a sack of items returned after her estranged 50-year-old partner John Gilmore killed himself at a park in Barry, South Wales.
Ms Gerrelli, 52, from Amersham, Buckinghamshire, criticised the "insensitivity" shown by South Wales Police.
Officers from the force have now been spoken to by superiors about their conduct in the matter.
Recounting the time she discovered the grisly item, Ms Gerrelli told the Barry and District News: "I reached into the bag and took out the laptop, then I saw yellow and realised what I had in my hand.
"I went to pieces - I just sunk to the floor. I dropped it and put my hands to my face."
She added: "I'm not sleeping and I've got to go back to the doctors."
An inquest earlier this month determined that computer student Mr Gilmore from Cadoxton, near Barry, had taken his own life in Porthkerry country park, where he was discovered on the afternoon of November 2 by a dog walker.
The inquest was told Mr Gilmore had been estranged from his wife for four years when he committed suicide.
Chief Inspector Jay Dave of South Wales Police, said: "This was a very unfortunate incident and I would like to apologise for any distress caused as a result."
