The haul follows the arrest of a man in Wembley, north London, after he was caught carrying a plastic bag holding four kilos of heroin with an estimated value of £500,000.
The 38-year-old had just left a flat in Chalkhill Road, Wembley.
Met police found three boxes containing 75 kilos of heroin in the flat, with an estimated street value £9,375,000.
Police also found equipment indicating the flat was a major distribution centre for the packaging and distribution of large quantities of Class A drugs.
A 22-year-old woman was detained in the flat.
The pair were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
They are in custody at an east London police station.
Detective Inspector Colin Stephenson said: "We are delighted that this operation has concluded with the seizure of such a large quantity of drugs.
"We believe we have closed down a major drugs distribution centre in north London which would have led to the sale of drugs on streets across the capital."
