The three men ambushed the former S Club 7 pop star on Tuesday afternoon as she entered her flat in north London, making her hand over several items.
The haul reportedly included an engagement ring, a necklace and a Rolex watch.
A brief statement issued on behalf of Stevens said: "Rachel did experience an intrusion and is shaken, but otherwise OK."
The statement did not go into any detail about what had happened.
Police are investigating whether the gang had been following Stevens's movements during a shopping trip.
A Scotland Yard spokeman said: "It's believed the woman returned to her flat and was followed in to the premises by three males.
"The suspects are understood to have threatened her before making off with a quantity of jewellery."
One of the robbers is white and the two others are black, said police.
Stevens, who is engaged to actor Alex Bourne, racked up 11 Top 40 hits with S Club 7, including charttoppers Reach and Don't Stop Movin'. The band split in 2002 and Stevens became a solo singer.
