Scotland Yard probes Woolmer CCTV

Detectives investigating the murder of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer have sent CCTV images to Scotland Yard for further analysis.

Woolmer, 58, died shortly after he was discovered unconscious in his bathroom at the Pegasus Hotel, Kingston, on March 18. He is believed to have been strangled.

Jamaica Police spokesman Karl Angell said some hotel CCTV footage has been sent to Scotland Yard "for further consideration".

When asked what time the section of footage was taken, he said: "I can't say any more."

A team of Scotland Yard officers travelled to Jamaica last week to review the case.

Three detectives and a scenes of crime officer were sent, following a formal request from the Jamaican authorities.

Woolmer, who was born in India of English parents, died a day after his team lost to Ireland in a shock upset that eliminated Pakistan from the cricket World Cup.

He was previously coach of Warwickshire.

A pathologist who conducted Woolmer's post-mortem examination initially ruled his death was "inconclusive" but announced four days later that he had been strangled.
