Son held after couple found dead
12 January 2007
The man, aged 43, is being held in Swindon in connection with the death of his parents, Wiltshire Police said.
The couple, a man aged 82 and a woman aged 76, were found at a house in Foxglove Way, on the outskirts of Lincoln.
Detective Superintendent Steven Fulcher, of Wiltshire Police, said the couple lived in Swindon, as did other members of their family.
He said a property in Thames Avenue, Swindon, is being examined by forensic experts.
Police want to trace the movements of a mushroom-coloured Nissan Micra car, registration WN07 CRO.
The car is believed to have travelled between Swindon and Lincoln sometime between Saturday and Tuesday.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed later that the bodies of the elderly couple were found in the garden of the house but said it was still too early to say exactly how and where they met their deaths.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Hatton said: "They were found in the garden but were not buried."
