Son quizzed over mother's murder

Lorna Whittingham, 51, was found dead at her house in Crewe, Cheshire, at 12.45pm on Thursday. A post-mortem examination revealed she had died as a result of asphyxiation.
Mrs Whittingham's 22-year-old son, John Whittingham, handed himself in to officers at Crewe Police Station on Friday night following appeals for him to come forward.
The silver Vauxhall Corsa he was thought to have been driving has also been recovered.
Mrs Whittingham was found dead by her husband at their home on Crestwood Close.
