Survey shows support for PM sliding

The YouGov survey for The Daily Telegraph found almost a third thought the Prime Minister should shoulder much of the responsibility for allowing lending and borrowing to get out of hand, while another 48% believed he should accept some culpability.
It is the latest in a succession of polls showing a collapse of public confidence in Labour's handling of the economy.
Recent ICM figures for The Guardian revealed more people would prefer to see the nation's finances in the hands of the Conservatives.
More than half of those polled by YouGov now think Mr Brown has managed the crisis badly, indicating that public trust last autumn in his ability to lead the country out of the recession is evaporating.
In October, 36% thought Labour were best placed to handle the crisis, with 29% backing the Tories. But the poll showed just 28% now favour Labour, compared to 35% for the Tories.
Overall support for the Tories now stands at 43%, compared with 32% for Labour and 16% for the Liberal Democrats.
However, although 56% of respondents thought they would be worse off in the coming 12 months, people were more upbeat about their prospects for 2010 and beyond, the poll found.
