The climbers were rewarded for their gruelling trek with afternoon tea at Number 10 Downing Street.
The BT Red Nose Climb has already raised more than £1.5 million from the UK public.
The Prime Minister announced that as a result of the climbers' heroic efforts he would give a further £2 million to malaria-related work in Tanzania.
All nine celebrities reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Mr Brown congratulated Alesha Dixon, Ben Shephard, Cheryl Cole, Chris Moyles, Denise Van Outen, Fearne Cotton, Gary Barlow, Kimberley Walsh and Ronan Keating on their achievement in Doing Something Funny For Money, before taking them on a guided tour of Number 10.
The celebrities posed for pictures outside the famous residence, which had a huge red nose on the door, with Mr Brown flanked by Cole and Dixon.
Barlow said: "It has been a privilege for the whole team to meet the Prime Minister ... and under such special circumstances.
"To think that our efforts on the mountain and the incredible generosity of the public have inspired school children and have now been supported by the Government is unbelievable.
"If the money raised can help control malaria and also help poor and vulnerable people in the UK, it will all have been worthwhile. What an unforgettable day."
