Teenager charged with pub murder

A teenager has been charged with the murder of a 41-year-old man outside a pub.

Alan Riddock, 41, died in hospital in the early hours of Sunday after being repeatedly stabbed near the Park House pub in Bedminster, Bristol, on Saturday.

Another man, aged 38, was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary with a stab wound and broken jaw.

Liam Churchley, 19, from Bristol, was charged with murder by Avon and Somerset Police.

He will appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court.

Two other men, aged 30 and 27, have been released on police bail.

Detective Inspector Paul Appleton said: "Although one individual has now been charged with this offence, we are still appealing for the public to help us piece together the events of Saturday evening.

"Inquiries we have already made lead us to believe there are outstanding offenders for this crime and I would ask if any member of the public has information to help inquiries, they contact police as soon as possible."
