Teenager dies after stab attack

A teenager has died following a stabbing.

Police officers were called to an address in Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Greater Manchester, shortly before 10.50pm on Friday.

Two 16-year-olds, who have not been named, were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where one of them died.

The other boy remains in a serious condition.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and assault. He will be questioned later.

Police have launched a murder investigation and are appealing to anyone who may have information about the incident to call 0161 856 8259 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
