Teenagers held amid rape inquiry

At 12.20am on Sunday, police attended an address in the village of Blindley Heath, near Lingfield, Surrey, after receiving reports of a fight breaking out in the street with some of the party-goers threatening each other with bottles.
As officers arrived, they found that the disturbance was caused by the teenage girl claiming she had been raped by someone else attending the party.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and seven other males, aged between 15 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Specially trained officers are supporting the victim, who is now with her family, according to a Surrey Police spokesman.
Scenes of crime officers have also visited the address and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out in the area.
Detective Inspector Dave Cooper said: "An incident like this is extremely rare in a small village like Blindley Heath, so I imagine many residents will have noticed the disturbance and the police attendance.
"I am also keen to hear from any young people who attended the party, particularly those who left early and we didn't get an opportunity to talk with.
"Our priority is to investigate the rape allegation and the circumstances leading to the fight, so you can contact us with confidence."
