Terror threat: team 'over-reacted'

Anne Smillie, chief executive of Badminton Scotland, said the English players would have to live with the knowledge that they have pulled out of a major world event.
The move followed a report of "a specific terrorist threat" against the tournament, which starts on Monday in Hyderabad.
The decision to fly home caused concern among some politicians in Britain, while the Government was supportive but stressed it was a decision for the governing body Badminton England.
Sports Minister Gerry Sutcliffe said he would be talking to Indian ministers about the issue and Britain would do all it could to support India ahead of the Commonwealth Games there next year.
Ms Smillie told the BBC: "I don't necessarily think they've made the right decision. I think perhaps they have over-reacted.
"Certainly our Scottish players and our team manager, who are in Hyderabad, feel confident that security is at its best."
She added: "The impact it will have on the English players is that they will have to live with the knowledge that they've pulled out of a major world event and, of course, with that, they will lose valued ranking points."
Badminton England chief executive Adrian Christy said earlier: "This was an incredibly tough decision and one we didn't take lightly.
"Safety is of paramount importance and therefore, with great regret, the team will be returning home immediately."
