Rizwan Darbar was knifed in West Ham Park, east London, on Sunday afternoon as he listened to music with two friends.
Two other 17-year-olds were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder. All three have been taken to an east London police station for questioning about the attack, police said.
Rizwan was taken to Newham General Hospital after the stabbing and died that evening.
His brother, Tausif, 19, said the avid West Ham United fan was taken straight into surgery after arriving at hospital but doctors told the family he had suffered a cardiac arrest in the operating theatre.
A post-mortem examination took place on Monday, and the cause of death was found to be a stab wound to the abdomen.
An inquest was opened at Walthamstow Coroner's Court on Wednesday and adjourned until a later date.
Rizwan's heartbroken family have posted a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his killer, according to reports.
"We're putting up the reward because we want to encourage people to come forward and give information. We want to see them brought to justice," Mr Darbar told the Sun newspaper.
Rizwan had recently started a job at Currys in nearby Seven Kings and was studying for A-levels in accounts, finance and business studies at Newham Sixth Form College.
