Officers found the bodies at an address in Belvoir Avenue in Levenshulme, Manchester, just before 11.10am on Friday.
A 36-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were arrested nearby soon afterwards.
A 42-year-old man was later arrested after handing himself in to police.
Detectives are treating the murders as domestic-related and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the inquiry.
Police have yet to identify the victims because next of kin have yet to be traced.
Scenes of crime officers in white boiler suits carried out a fingertip search of the property, a mid-terrace house.
Locals said the house was occupied by a husband and wife in their 50s who had a teenage son.
Neighbours described the couple as a disabled woman who used an electric wheelchair and her unemployed husband.
A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said: "Officers would like to reassure the community that there will be high-visibility police patrols in the area. Any residents who have any concerns or who may have any information about this incident are encouraged to speak to police."
