Two charged with terror offences

Two men have been charged under the Terrorism Act, Scotland Yard said.

The men, from south west London, are accused of conspiring to possess money for terrorism purposes.

Adam Mohamed, 28, of Chessington, and Imad Shoubaki, 31, of Merton, will appear at City of Westminster magistrates' court on Wednesday.

The two were arrested by officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command in an early morning raid on October 3, a police spokesman said.

Their homes and a business address, all in Surrey, were searched, he added.

Mohamed is also accused of possessing a document, the book Zaad e Mujahid, for reasons linked to terrorism.

Shoubaki is charged with possessing a computer disk containing files, namely How To Be An Assassin and Zaad e Mujahid, for reasons linked to terrorism.

He also faces a fourth offence, possessing a document in a computer file detailing how to make explosives which may be useful to a terrorist.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on or before October 4 this year.
