UK thawing out after big freeze

Most people woke up to less biting temperatures, and there are currently no severe weather warnings in place.
Forecasters said the worst of the weather was over, with "windy and unsettled" conditions expected for the rest of the day.
In County Durham the A66, which was closed overnight because of heavy blizzards, was reopened.
A Durham Police spokeswoman said: "The road is passable and we would advise motorists to drive with caution."
Hundreds of motorists, including a group of 40 pensioners, had to be rescued on Friday night after being left stranded on the remote road. Many were evacuated to a village hall and local pub in Bowes, while others were allowed to continue their journeys when the snow was cleared.
In the North East and North Yorkshire, many homes had their power restored following Friday's cuts.
The power cuts, caused by gale force winds and snow, affected 45,000 customers, electricity supplier CE Electric said.
By Friday night, all but 8,000 homes in the north east, North Yorkshire and north Lincolnshire areas had got their power back.
CE Electric said there were just 1,600 homes - 1,200 in the Scarborough and North Yorkshire moors areas and 400 north of Beverley - still without electricity.
