Annie Tang, 33, and Summer Nguyen - who lived in Stapleton, Bristol - are believed to have drowned while using the pool at a property company's premises in Studley, Warwickshire, on Saturday.

Warwickshire Police released details of the tragedy on Monday and confirmed that the Health and Safety Executive are also investigating the deaths.

The mother was swimming in the pool while her husband attended a business meeting at the offices of LandMarque Sites in Henley Road.

A police spokesman said: "He discovered them when the meeting finished and alerted the ambulance service."

Two ambulances and two air ambulances attended, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts to resuscitate them.

A police spokesman said: "It is believed that they drowned and police are not treating the deaths as suspicious at this stage.

"It's believed the pair were swimming while the woman's husband attended a business meeting at the premises.

"The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and will conduct an inquiry into the incident."
