Youth remanded over caravan murder

A teenager was remanded in custody when he appeared in court charged with the murder of a 15-year-old boy on a caravan site.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before magistrates in Worthing, West Sussex, after being charged on Friday with Michael Morgan's murder.

Michael was found unconscious in a mobile home at a council-run caravan park in Lancing on July 1 after being stabbed.

The teenager, from Shoreham, near Brighton, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Chairman of the bench Jackie Casey adjourned the case to July 17 at Worthing Youth Court.

No application for bail was made.
