14 January 2008
The youth, believed to be 17 or 18, was knifed outside the E Bar in the South End area of Croydon, south London, in the early hours of Saturday.
He was taken to a south London hospital where he later died.
The Metropolitan Police said another youth in his late teens had been arrested in connection with the attack. He was being treated for injuries to his hands, a spokeswoman said.
She said the police were keeping an "open mind" about the motives for the attack.
The victim is the 26th teenager to die in attacks in London this year.
The latest death came two weeks after a 14-year-old was fatally stabbed while sitting on a bench outside his home. Shaquille Smith was attacked in Hackney, east London, on August 30.
Five teenagers have been charged with his murder.
Shaquille's sister Tahira, 16, was also stabbed and treated in hospital.
