            Crazy Homies

Fun, music and Bloody Marys are the order of the day at Crazy Homies

Look here too

From an organic fast food joint and a lively Mexican lounge to an arty little resto and an Austrian in lederhosen playing Edelweiss on a glockenspiel, there's something to suit everyone's tastes in west London...

Babes 'n' Burgers
275 Portobello Road, W11
Although this restaurant looks like a fast food outlet - short-order cooking behind a counter; booth seating - and the menu references the burger giants, this is the place to head if youre looking for a healthy option. All the food on the menu is 100 per cent organic. Fizzy drinks are sweetened with concentrated apple juice, chicken strips come with crudites, juices are freshly squeezed and the ice-cream is lactose-free.

Crazy Homies
127 Westbourne Park Rd, W2
A little further afield but worth the wander, Tom Conran's Mexican lounge, margarita bar and taqueria is the real enchilada. Fun, music and Bloody Marys are the order of the day as is reasonably authentic food served in exuberant quantity. Highlights include crab, black bean and guacamole tostado and melting pork picadillo neatly rolled in flour tortillas. Be warned, the premises are tiny so get there early.

Food@TheMuse
269 Portobello Road, W11
Food @ The Muse is an altogether personal project - a showcase for upcoming artists built round a quirky little resto. You sit high up on benches at large, white blocks from where you can see right into the heart of the open kitchen. The regularly-changing menu wanders all over the world, with lengthy stopovers in North Africa and Thailand, and features very feisty flavours.

Tiroler Hut
27 Westbourne Grove, W2
Its not easy to find this Austrian restaurant tucked away on Westbourne Grove but your search will be rewarded with a big plate of steaming stuffed cabbage, liver dumpling soup or roast knuckle of pork and a large, red-faced man dressed in lederhosen playing Edelweiss on a glockenspiel.

Paradise
149 Westbourne Grove, W11
This small family business has fewer than 40 seats, cheap prices and home-style food. Inside it is cramped but clean and the service is attentive and very friendly. The menu combines several South Indian dishes with an array of Sri Lankan specialities and, as a general guide to ordering, the best dishes are the home-made curries. Prices are cheap - you can order most curries without straying far over £5.
