One of a mini-chain of decent American diners. The stack of pancakes comes with a choice of melted butter and maple syrup, blueberries, or banana and blueberries. The greedy option is the breakfast waffle with bacon and Swiss cheese.
Chez Lindsay, 11 Hill Rise, Richmond
(020 8948 7473). An impressive array of buckwheat galettes — egg and ham, scallops and leeks, Roquefort, celery and walnuts.
