You'd be mistaken to think that the focus of London Fashion Week is the clothes. The capital may well be abuzz with supermodels and designer fashions this week but the real action is in the restaurants. Some of London's best eating places have responded to the week's style overload with a selection of specially designed, healthy menus. Each offers detoxifying, nutritious dishes, packed with vitamins and beauty-enhancing properties to satisfy afternoon cravings. From light, energy-boosting lunches to three-course low-calorie menus, here are some refuelling options that shouldn't stop you squeezing into last year's skinny jeans.

Aubaine
Parisian-style brasserie with new menu launched in honour of London Fashion Week.
Menu: four-course Fashion Week Rush-Hour menu, designed for fashionistas on the go, including a smoothie and a dessert. Rocket, pine nuts and pomegranate salad, roasted salmon with watercress jus and new Aubaine salad with citrus fruits and king prawn, red fruits salad with yoghurt crème, strawberry coulis and granola.
Health factor: each dish is rich in vitamins and minerals, which aid circulation and skin, nails and hair quality.

Mela
Vibrant upmarket Indian restaurant with attractive prices.
Menu: new Designer Detox menu for LFW running alongside the à la carte menu. Includes a healthy sprout and leaf salad in ground mango and pomegranate seed dressing, as well as steamed whole sea bass marinated with coriander and mint and steamed in a banana leaf.
Health factor: there is no added fat or oil in any dish.
How much: £3-£3.95 per starter or £8.95-£12.95 for mains, menu available until Friday 27 February.

Harvey Nichols
Newly opened Detoxretox at Absolute Taste offers a huge selection of healthy snacks as well as retox treats.
Menu: all-day juice bar serving smoothies tailored to your moods as well as a superfood salad with broccoli, roasted butternut, quinoa, bobby beans and toasted seeds.
Health factor: detox juice is high in vitamin C and A, the Efferverscence is full of tannins and antioxidants, the Comforter prevents colds as it contains cleansing ginger.

Ping Pong
A modern take on traditional Chinese. Everything is hand-made with fresh ingredients.
Menu: Slim Sum Healthy Fix menu described as “satisfying without the cellulite”. Nine dishes include warming chicken wonton soup, freshly steamed coriander parcels, sticky rice and mango pudding.
Health factor: a guilt-free 489 calories for the lot.

Saki Bar and Food Emporium
Head chef Yoshitaka Onozaki was keen to launch low-calorie menus which would include hard-to-find ingredients. Saki was the first UK restaurant to introduce Miracle Fruit on its menu.
Menu: three- or four-course Ultra Low Calorie menus. Three courses includes tuna & sweet prawn nigiri, a chicken and shirataki cutlet in mushroom sauce and a Miracle Fruits sorbet with strawberry cream and fresh fruit.
Health factor: the Miracle Fruit is sugar-free plus each menu contains less than 300 calories.

Suka
Modern Malaysian restaurant offering special meal and a treatment at the Sanderson's Hotel agua spa for health-conscious and detox-loving diners.
Menu: the whole package consists of one course and an express beauty treatment — choose from a manicure, facial or massage. Try whole boned sea bass rubbed with fresh Malaysian herbs, ginger and lemongrass plus a complimentary glass of Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut champagne.
Health factor: this champagne is renowned for being extremely pure as it has no added sugar.
How much: reduced to £45 from £90 until end of March.
