Aikens is celebrating the Chelsea Flower Show with a set five-course floral menu for £45 per head (available lunch and dinner Mon-Fri). Each course incorporates a different garden flower. Expect nasturtiums, viola flowers, marigolds, roses and broad bean blooms.

Brompton Quarter Café
Pulling out all the stops, Brompton Quarter has a “La Vie en Rose” lunch menu (noon-2.30pm, £19.95 per head) and a floral afternoon tea. Teas, served 3-5pm daily, include scones with rose petal jam, edible flowers and flower teas (£14.95 per head).

Roussillon
A Flower Show tasting menu is available at Roussillon for lunch (Mon-Fri) or dinner (Mon-Sat) at £65 per head and includes rose-
scented pork and chrysanthemum soufflé. Diners get a free recipe book, Flowers, Petals and some Herbs, by head chef Alexis Gauthier.

The Cinnamon Club
Just up the road in Westminster, the Cinnamon Club has put together an Indian eight-course vegetarian menu combining vegetable flowers and spices (£60 per head). Dinner starts with a hibiscus and rose petal bellini.

Manicomio Deli
If a full floral meal seems too much, Manicomio Deli is serving Machiavelli floral fairy cakes topped with seasonal edible flowers (£2.50 eat in, £1.75 take away) — ideal to accompany a relaxed tea after the show.
