A Bite Out in London - Great Eastern Street Dining Room in Hoxton

What to expect
Great Eastern Street Dining Room is in the heart of London's trendy Hoxton. The location means its minimalist look is just as significant as its pan-Asian food.

Hot dishes
Chicken, aubergine & lychee green curry is delicious. Or the more traditional prawn pad thai vegetable is always a reliable option. Dishes are full of flavour and beautifully presented. Make sure you don't miss out on the Tempura. It makes for a tasty starter or side dish.

Favourite tipple
The contemporary house created cocktails are fittingly fashionable. The Rickshaw is a concoction of stoli razberi, raspberries, cranberry & lemon juices stirred & served long. Very Carrie Bradshaw. On Friday and Saturday nights you can continue indulging in the wide selection of drinks in Below 54, located below the restaurant. Expert barmen mix up delicious cocktails with DJs playing til 1am.

Ambience
Lively and friendly. The clientele is mainly made up of hip Hoxton types and young City boys, especially on weekends. There is an informal 'everybody welcome' vibe though thanks to comfortable but cool seating.

Where to find it
It is all in the name. Bang in the middle of Great Eastern street with Old Street and Liverpool Street stations close by.

Cheque out
There is a £15 set lunch menu but for dinner expect to pay about £35 per head for a three course meal with drinks.
