Charles Campion offers up three of the best places in London to eat grouse.

The Grill at the Dorchester
Park Lane, W1

Grouse season began on Monday and Aiden Byrne at the Grill is offering a choice of whole roast grouse in two styles: try it with liver patÈ, turnips and watercress; or with smoked Alsace bacon and cabbage. £70pp exdrinks. (020 7629 8888).

Ristorante Semplice
10 Blenheim Street, W1

Semplice is a very slick restaurant serving authentic Italian food that is typified by intense flavours. Especially for the grouse season, they have developed an indulgent grouse and wild-mushroom risotto. £50pp ex-drinks. (020 7495 1509).

Rules
