Boiled Egg and Soldiers
Nappy Valley: Boiled Egg and Soldiers in Battersea's Northcote Road

By Charles Campion
28 Aug 2007

Charles Campion points out some child-friendly restaurants in the capital.

Boiled Egg and Soldiers
63 Northcote Road, SW11

As you'd expect in the heartland known as Nappy Valley - Boiled does sound all-day breakfast and brunch dishes, while the eponymous egg with soldiers still appeals. £8pp ex-drinks. (020 7223 4894)

Inn the Park
St James's Park, SW1

Built into the ground rather like a superior hobbit residence, Inn the Park is a laid-back child-friendly establishment with a verdant view. Plenty of traditional British dishes. £20pp exdrinks. (020 7451 9999)

Babes 'n' Burgers
275 Portobello Rd, W11

Laid-back and comfortable establishment that is in the middle of, and aimed squarely at, Yummy Mummy land in Notting Hill. Don't expect culinary fireworks but there are plenty of healthy options. £12pp ex-drinks. (020 7229 2704)

Details are correct at the time of publication - please check with venue before booking.
