No 'lucky' dressing room
16 October 2007
England grabbed the "lucky" home one before beating France in the semi-finals, having been in the away dressing room when beaten 36-0 by the Springboks in the pool stage, and the significance of where a team change appears very important.
As Mark Regan, the England hooker, said: "It gave us an edge to be in the home changing room against the French at the Stade de France after winning the toss. I knew the French would not enjoy being away from their comfort zone."
England's dressing room was more like a party venue after their semi-final victory, with the team's theme song, The Gambler by Kenny Rogers, blaring out and the players taking to the dance floor.
"When we got back to the room it was time for a bit of Kenny, karaoke and line dancing," said Regan.
