No return for Vickery as Stevens keeps his place for Tonga clash

Head coach Brian Ashton has made two changes from the team that defeated Samoa 44-22, dropping the London Wasps pair of Simon Shaw and Joe Worsley and opting for Steve Borthwick's greater line-out skill at lock and Lewis Moody's physical approach as open-side flanker.
Vickery has completed a two-match ban for tripping an American opponent in the opening pool match, but has failed to win back the No3 jersey following Matt Stevens's strong performance against Samoa.
Vickery has been a frustrated spectator at the South Africa and Samoa games alongside an increasingly exasperated Dallaglio, but now both are in the match squad and may be given their first live action since that disappointing win over the USA in Lens.
Jason Robinson's return from a hamstring injury has been delayed until a possible quarter-final with Australia in Marseilles that England will only set up if they take care of the Tongans in the Parc des Princes.
Wasps flanker Tom Rees has been ruled out by a thigh injury.
Ashton has continued with his "revolving door" policy in the back row. Worsley, yet again, is the man to drop out of the team. His performance against Samoa reflected the team's overall showing, with flashes of top-quality tackling mixed in with two glaring errors on the gain line.
This inconsistency cannot be replicated against a Tonga team that have surprised everyone at the World Cup with the way they have allied natural aggression and power to a game plan that revolves around their own back row. Ashton has opted for Moody in the hope he can cause mayhem at the break down.
Dallaglio and Worsley will probably be used to bolster England's back-row power during the second half when captain Martin Corry will move into the second-row.
Corry's leadership has won praise from Ashton and that is another reason why Vickery has been left on the bench.
Shaw has been strangely subdued in recent matches, failing to produce the ball-carrying runs that made him the form second-row in England at the end of last season with Wasps.
He now makes way for Borthwick, who is not so powerful but can win his own line-out ball and steal the opposition's. By losing Shaw's bulk from the pack, England will need Nick Easter to accept more ball-carrying work which he produced only occasionally against Samoa.
Easter is highly rated by John Wells, the forwards coach, but the Harlequins No8 will be keenly aware of Dallaglio's brooding presence on the bench.
The backs have been given a vote of confidence following the win over Samoa, which means Josh Lewsey is given another run at full-back, where Ian McGeechan, the Wasps director of rugby, believes he should remain, even if Robinson returns.
Mathew Tait has held off the challenge of Dan Hipkiss despite failing to produce the midfield footwork that is his trademark for Newcastle, and wing Paul Sackey, a two-try hero against Samoa, is selected despite missing training today with a thigh problem.
The media also missed most of training in Versailles when an "open" session suddenly became closed. Strangely, the small gathering of locals was allowed to watch.
ENGLAND (v Tonga): Lewsey; Sackey, Tait, Barkley, Cueto; Wilkinson, Gommersall; Sheridan, Chuter, Stevens; Borthwick, Kay; Corry (C), Easter, Moody.
Reps: Mears, Vickery, Dallaglio, Worsley, Richards, Farrell, Hipkiss.
