CANCER RESEARCH UK
One of the most popular charities to walk, jog or run for, Cancer Research raised £40million from the 665,000 women who took part in its 5k events last year. Money raised goes to helping find a cure for cancer through world-class research by its team of over 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. The charity is also a major supporter of breast cancer research spending over £22 million a year on research into the disease that affects over 40,000 women in the UK each year. It also funds research aimed at improving the quality of life for cancer patients and provide support for them and their families.
