Ambassador’s fury at Brüno Hitler jibe

Sacha Baron Cohen is in trouble with the Austrian ambassador for his "cheap" jokes at the country's expense.

Controversy: comic Cohen as Brüno

The comedian who plays Brüno, a flamboyant gay fashion TV reporter from Austria in his latest film, has been slammed by the country's British envoy Emil Brix.

Mr Brix has urged people to boycott the movie, in which Brüno claims he wants to be "the biggest Austrian superstar since Hitler" and says of cellar monster Josef Fritzl that it is the "Austrian dream" to "have a job, find a dungeon and raise a family there". Mr Brix said: "It's inappropriate. Everybody should speak up. The public will know how to react to this film."
