Today's the day: Amy Winehouse, out last night, plans to visit her husband Blake today
The pair have not seen each other since he left prison two weeks ago. She was finally allowed to see him yesterday but did not leave her home until 4pm - meaning she would not have made it to the Life Works rehab centre in Old Woking until after visiting hours had closed.
Bizarrely, Amy jumped into her cab and tried to make it anyway. But just five minutes into her journey, she turned the taxi around and headed back to her Camden home. She had barely made it as far as Regents Park. Earlier, the mother of Amy's goddaughter Dionne Bromfield visited Amy's pad, and said: "I don't think Amy's going to leave the house today. Things aren't going great between [her and Blake] at the moment."
However, around 1.30am, the 25-year-old singer did emerge from her home and managed to make it within visiting hours of her local boozer The Hawley Arms, where she stayed until 4am.
On her way home, she told photographers that she planned to see Blake, 26 , today, adding that today was their 18-month wedding anniversary.
A source at the rehab centre told The Eye: "Blake is doing great. He's doing well and is in good spirits." Blake said last week: "We have spoken on the phone and I'm expecting a visit from her at any time now. We can't wait to be back together again."
Of course, that will all depend upon whether Amy can even get out of bed this morning - after such a late night in the pub.
Good luck with that...
