Amy Winehouse given stark warning by husband Blake's stepfather

Giles Civil, the step-father of Miss Winehouse's 25-year-old husband, believes that the couple will kill themselves if they continue to drink excessively and take drugs.
The 42-year-old headmaster, from Newark, has compared Miss Winehouse, 23, and his step-son to the Sex Pistols star and Miss Spungen whose heroin addictions cost them both their lives.
Speaking just days after the couple were pictured bruised, bloodied and battered following a vicious argument in a top London hotel, the well-spoken school head has pleaded with them to get help.

Sex Pistols bassist, Sid Vicious, here with Nancy Spugdon, died of a herion overdoes
"Drink, drugs and a history of self-harm is a worrying cocktail," he said. "I'm going to point out the Sid and Nancy comparison to Blake.
"You couldn't tell Sid Vicious what to do, could you? But I'd like Blake and Amy to think about those two. It might shake them up.
"I doubt it, but maybe."
While Vicious - real name John Simon Ritchie - and his peroxide blonde lover were the rebellious rock star icons of their day, a serious heroin addiction sent the couple spiralling out of control, culminating in Miss Spunger's death in 1978.
Vicious later admitted to killing the 20-year-old during a depraved and drug-induced evening in a hotel room. Although he was never tried or convicted of the murder, the snarling bass player overdosed on the Class A drug and died just four months later.
Worryingly, the parallels between the ill-fated couple and Miss Winehouse and Fielder-Civil, who married in secret earlier this year, are all too apparent.

Blake's stepfather warns Amy and Blake face the same bleak future as Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungden
Earlier this month the platinum-selling star was admitted to hospital following a heroin and ketamine overdose. After checking into rehab alongside her husband, the pair left the residential clinic a few days later and, within hours, were spotted on a pub crawl.
A second spell in rehab was again curtailed and the couple tried to patch up their differences with a stay in an exclusive city hotel.
Instead, after Fielder-Civil tried to stop his wife from taking drugs, they became embroiled in a vicious brawl and emerged from the hotel covered in cuts and bruises.
In the same interview with the News of the World, Civil revealed his fears about the couple's self-harming - adding that they needed more "professional counselling".
He said: "We know Amy and Blake are both into self-harming. Amy has a longer history of it, but this a new thing for us.
"Blake never did it at home. We've seen cuts on his arm and asked about it, but he just sort of waved it away. He can be very vague when he wants to be.

"It's a psychological problem — people do it when they don't feel in control. It's their way of getting back in charge. But with the two of them self-harming it's very worrying.
"I think they need professional counselling. But we can't drag the horses to the water, let alone make them drink it.
"There's so little I can do. The little advice I do give them they'll plainly ignore. I wont dictate and try to manipulate them. I can only be there for them if the need arises."
Miss Winehouse herself, meanwhile, has confessed to being "a mess".
The diminutive star also defended her husband amid claims that he is leading her astray.
"Look at me - I'm a mess. I'm nothing special. In fact I'm nothing at all. I don't feel good. I don't have talent," she told the Sunday Mirror.
"I'm nothing without my husband. I love him so much, sometimes it hurts. Without him I would be nothing which is why it is so important we are together right now.
"I can't beat drugs without him... I know I need help but Blake's the only one who can help me. He's my rock."
