Amy Winehouse: 'I thought drug overdose would kill me'

The Rehab singer says Blake saved her from death after a cocaine and ecstasy overdose in London in August.
She has also revealed that she has been taking anti-depressent medication since the age of 16.
Speaking in the latest edition of Germany's Stern Magazine, Amy confesses: "I really thought I was on the way out. My husband Blake saved my life, brought me into the hospital.
"Often I don't know what I do. Then the next day the memory returns. And then I am engulfed in shame."
Semi-conscious Amy was dragged through an A&E unit's double doors before collapsing from a huge drug overdose two months ago.
She was injected with adrenalin and her stomach was pumped. After the shocking incident Amy checked into rehab with Blake but checked out days later.
In a new positive move, she now admits: "Recently I saw a picture of myself when I came out of the hospital. I didn't recognise myself anymore."
Amy, who's currently on her European tour and will hit London next month, has had her ups and downs with hubby Blake.
Last month the couple had a huge bust up in a London hotel that left both of them bloodied and bruised.
But Amy insists: "I believe I live through pain. If you suffer for something it means to me that it is not unimportant."
On her depression, she said: "I felt that a black cloud hangs over me. I have taken pills for depression but they slowed me down. I believe there are lots of people who have these mood changes."
This might also explain the singer's tendancy towards self harm.
But Amy fans can start to rest easy as she claims to have given up boozing before her gigs and she's now putting everything into what she's good at - her music.
She says: "I just have this great good luck to have found this outlet - my music."
