She is more than four decades younger than him and has only one Oscar to his two.
But when it comes to bulging veins Angelina Jolie has the upper hand on Clint Eastwood.
On the set of their new film The Changeling, the actress, 32, displayed a pair of translucent, lined forearms and skeletal fingers that looked even older than the veteran film-maker's.

The mother of four has appeared achingly thin in recent months and this image will only add to the fears about her health.
Fitness experts say that extreme weight loss could be behind her prominent veins, as could over-exercise.
Apostolis Gaitanis, a Harley Street plastic surgeon, said: "You expect to have prominent veins in the hands of older people because the skin gets thinner and does not store fat so well.

"It is a natural progression as we age. But you wouldn't expect someone so much younger to have the same problem. In this area it is due to over-exercise.
"Angelina may be genetically prone to having large veins, but this appears to be due to over-training. There is no fat to disguise them."

Miss Jolie, who won a best supporting actress Academy Award for Girl, Interrupted, has insisted her weight loss is due to grief over her mother's death earlier this year and the stress of breastfeeding - and that she is trying to regain some pounds.
It is rumoured, however, that she will be adding to her workload.
Reports from Italy suggest that she is expecting her second biological child with Brad Pitt - their fifth including their adopted children.

She was due to talk at the UN-linked Pio Manzu Centre, near Rimini, but pulled out at the last minute last week.
Eastwood, 77, who has won best director Oscars for Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, is directing Miss Jolie in the The Changeling.
She plays a mother in 1920s Los Angeles who suspects that the son returned to her after an abduction is not really hers.
