This is the latest lowdown on fashion according to Britney Spears.
Take a tiny pair of knickers. Add a skirt that hangs halfway down your hips and shows off your underwear (not to mention your tattoo). Finally, grab a handbag and cigarette - and leave your shoes at home.
The singer, whose once wholesome image now seems a faraway dream, showed off her skimpy look as she shopped for DVDs at a video store in Los Angeles. She walked around the car park barefoot before browsing the shelves inside with fiance Kevin Federline.
'It was unbelievable to think she has millions in the bank,' said an onlooker. 'She looked like a hobo and didn't seem to care what people thought.'
After abandoning her world tour earlier this year because of a knee injury, Miss Spears has been recuperating in the company of Federline, whose exgirlfriend recently gave birth to his child. She plans to marry her fiance, a dancer, in a £ 1.5million ceremony in Beverly Hills in November.
