Tonight until 21 November, various venues and prices.

Youth is the theme at the premier event in the London jazz calendar, with up-and-coming singers and players, including Gwyneth Herbert (tonight 7.45pm, Queen Elizabeth Hall, £15), edging into the spotlight beside such international heavyweights as Ravi Coltrane (tonight 7.30pm, PR, £20) and Sam Rivers (Saturday 7.45pm, QEH, £12.50-£17.50).

Supergroup Future Sounds of Jazz, featuring rapper Ty, (tonight 7.30pm, Festival Hall, £10-£20), should prove an early highlight.
