The DJ suggests stealing a dog for walks on the Heath - and wearing Vivienne Westwood on special occasions

Where do you live, and why?

Tufnell Park, on a gorgeous tree-lined road where kids still play on their bikes. It's close enough to dodgy areas for me to keep it 'street', though. I've lived there a little over two years.

What is your earliest London memory?

Being in a Renault 12 with my mum, stepdad Ken and sister Yvonne, screaming as we confronted London drivers for the first time. I was about seven and we were having trouble with the big roundabouts by Buckingham Palace.

What do you miss most when you're out of London?

My lovely home, my friends, and a wide choice of local takeaways.
What advice would you give to a tourist?

Borrow or steal a dog and take it for a trudge on Hampstead Heath

What was the last play you saw in London and did you enjoy it?

The Producers at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. It was incredible, really funny, and everyone gave it a standing ovation at the end.

What are your favourite home comforts?

Nice food from the Waitrose around the corner. Sky + is great, too. Without it, my marriage would have been on the rocks months ago!

Do you have a favourite pub?

The Lock Tavern in Camden. I'm there a lot because Jon part-owns it and plays there. I feel it's my duty to eat the nice food, drink copious amounts of wine and generally swan around like Angie Watts.

Where were the last three places you went on holiday?

In March last year, Jon and I went to Brazil with Zoë and Norman Cook. I was six months pregnant. Jon and Norman were performing in front of 500,000 people while I glared at Zoë looking lithe in her bikini. Last September, we stayed in a villa near the beautiful beaches of southwest Ibiza with friends and our baby, Lola.

The last holiday was just the three of us in Antigua; Lola swam in the sea for the first time.

What have been your most memorable London meals?

Going to Fifteen with my mum and friend, Peta. The food is always exciting and they make you feel really special there.

What perfume do you wear?

Vivienne Westwood's Boudoir.

What do you listen to on your iPod?

The Zutons, Kaiser Chiefs, The Chemical Brothers' new stuff, The Streets and Dolly Parton.

What was the last book you bought?

Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. I grab my books from whichever shop I happen to be passing that day.

What are your extravagances?

I like shoes and bags, which will always remain a mystery to my husband [DJ Jon Carter].

Who is in your secret address book?

Pemizett Flowers at 115 Parkway in Camden: Eric the owner always finds me beautiful blooms and the best Christmas trees. Diane von Furstenberg on Ledbury Road cuts beautiful dresses for women with breasts. I love Vivienne Westwood on Conduit Street; I've been addicted to her clothes ever since she made my wedding dress. Procreating is a great excuse to shop at babyGap, and Source is a gorgeous food store selling cheese and wine in The Quadrant, Richmond.

What would you do if you were Mayor for the day?

I'd introduce hardcore litter monitors prowling the streets, dishing out beatings to offenders, regardless of age.

What is your life philosophy?

No regrets.

What was the last CD you bought?

The Zutons' Who Killed The Zutons?, Eminem's Encore and Snoop Dogg's Rhythm & Gangsta. And I recently bought another copy of Carole King's Tapestry, which I'd lost.

How do you get around town?

I always take black cabs.

What are your current projects?

I'm back presenting on Radio 1 at weekends.
