Victoria Beckham looks set to land her own US TV show as a fashion expert.

Spice Girls and Pop Idol supremo Simon Fuller is developing the idea. The show would be similar in style to Britain's Next Top Model.

"It won't be a TV show for the sake of a TV show. It will be a fashion proposition that will fit her fashion business.

"It will be more serious than a reality show but will still be entertaining because Victoria is so funny," Fuller told Broadcast magazine.

The music mogul now guides the career of Victoria and husband David. Clothes horse Victoria designs her own range of jeans and this week launched her own perfume.

"Victoria has found her niche," Fuller said: "She can walk into any room in the fashion world and she knows as much, if not more, than anyone."

Fuller said he had been inundated with offers from US networks for the past two years but had resisted until now "because I wanted to focus on legitimising her in the fashion world". He also has plans for another ex-Spice Girl, Emma Bunton.

They are developing a comedy series in which she plays herself. Two UK broadcasters have expressed an interest.

"Emma wants to get into TV. She went to drama school and it's in her blood. We're going to give her a shot," Fuller said.

And he is in discussions about reworking BBC comedy Little Britain for US audiences in a deal with broadcaster HBO.

"We are on the brink of confirming something rather special. Comedy of that quality always crosses the Atlantic. Think back to Monty Python. Who would have thought that would have been such a big hit in America?"
