Wayne Rooney's fiancee Coleen McLoughlin is doing everything in her power to prevent her boyfriend from seeing red again.

The 20-year-old has been on standby with a bottle of suncream as the pair holiday together in scorching weather in Dubai.

Coleen makes sure her fair-skinned boyfriend is protected from the damaging rays of the sun by applying a liberal dose of lotion as often as possible.

Dressed in a blue and white string bikini, she is pictured here rubbing the cream into Rooney's shoulders and arms as she attempts to keep sunburn at bay in the searing heat.

Rooney is currently serving a three-match suspension after being red-carded in a pre-season friendly.

But despite the boiling temperatures, it would appear his break is doing much to calm Rooney's hot tempter. Yesterday he was reportedly calm and relaxed as he swam, sunbathed and signed autographs for fans.
