Pop singer threatens to punch Peaches
Updated 09:23am on 28 Sep 2006Socialite Peaches Geldof might want to tighten up her security, after pop singer Lilly Allen said she would like to "kick her over and then kick her even harder when she was down."
But what has Peaches done to deserve this outburst?
Bob Geldof's daughter apparently infuriated Ms Allen with her documentary on Islam, screened earlier this year on Channel 4, which she slated as "really awful."
She ranted on Galaxy Radio in Manchester: "I watched her on Richard and Judy - she was like 'You know, I just really think, that, like kids in this country just like, don't know enough about Islam.'
"What do you know about Islam, you useless oaf?"
The 21-year-old singer however, really let loose when off air, declaring she wanted to "kick the **** out of" the 17-year-old.
There is apparently no star safe from Lilly Allen's wrath - she branded Paris Hilton "hideously untalented," said she was disgusted that cancer survivor Kylie Minogue is due to headline Glastonbury festival next year, and thinks Madonna is "overrated."
Both Peaches and Lilly Allen are well known faces on the party circuit so it may not be too long before a show-down.

Just because a person is not Islamic doesn't mean they can't study and learn about Islam. Isn't that what all broadcasting is about any way? Who cares if Peaches is not an expert, the show is for her peers, right? Glad this is one person who in spite of wealth wants to contribute. That Lily chick is right about Paris Hilton though; she's just rich. If she wasn't causing so much trouble her 'fame' would be over.

I agree with Lily Allen. Peaches Geldof is a pain in the posterior and needs to be brought down a peg (or a whole ladder) or two. PG swans around with her daddy's money and the mighty privileges it affords her, pretending that she knows what the girl on the street is thinking. Lily is worth 1000 PG's.

What a horrendous example to set. No wonder teenage girls are increasingly seen as violent and aggressive with this kind of role model of what is cool.

Chav comes to mind when I think of Lily Allen.

Lily Allen cannot sing, is totally rubbish and represents what is wrong with young children these days.

I've not seen much of the stuff that Peaches Geldof has made, but it just seems like Lily Allen is down on everyone and everything. Lily Allen always seems to be threatening people or calling people rubbish; she's too negative, and too preoccupied with insulting people. A lot of it might just be her seeking publicity.

Lily Allen is a pompous, arrogant little girl who seems to be adored despite her gutter mouth. She is the one that should start to look at the failings in her own life and grow up rather than taking it out on everyone else.

I think we should cut Peaches some slack, just because she's young and inexperienced doesn't mean she's not remotely qualified to opine about things. It's good to see young people being given an opportunity to participate in the debate. We've been ruled by younger Kings and Queens than her!

I kind of think Peaches opens herself up to this sort of abuse by rather arrogantly making out she is an authority on world affairs at the tender age of 17. Of course she is old enough to be extremely well informed but to go around lecturing others is mind bogglingly irritating. Most people will find this egotistical attitude quite difficult to stomach, especially since it's mainly due to her father and not her life experience/education.
