TV's Wife Swap in chaos after claims of sexual assault
Updated 09:23am on 28 Sep 2006Reality TV show Wife Swap is facing a crisis after one of its female participants reported a claim of sexual assault to police.
The woman had swapped places with 36-year-old Noeile Klineberg, who lives with her millionaire fiance Robin Goforth in Doncaster.
Bosses of the Channel 4 show were forced to stop filming after the woman claimed she had been attacked by a friend of Robin's.
Last night, the man accused of the assault denied the accusations claiming: "There is no way I'd do anything like that to any lady. To suggest I did anything improper is a lie."
Robin told today's The Sun:" Nothing was said at the time about sexual misconduct. The woman mentioned it next day, 24 hours later.
"I honestly don't know what she was talking about."
South Yorkshire Police said they wouldn't comment on the allegations.
A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "We are aware of claims made by a Wife Swap contributor against someone she met during the swap.
"However, she has now advised us that she has withdrawn all of these allegations."
Sources at the show say the episode is likely to be scrapped costing production company RDF £180,000.
