Qantas sacks stewardess over mile-high fling with Fiennes
Updated 16:07pm on 19 Feb 2007Qantas has sacked a stewardess who gave a detailed account to a newspaper of a midair tryst with actor Ralph Fiennes in an airliner toilet cubicle.

The airline had earlier suspended Lisa Robertson pending an investigation into reports she had sex with Fiennes during a flight from the northern city of Darwin to Mumbai, India, on January 24.
Qantas said in a statement Monday that Robertson's employment contract had been terminated. It didn't give a reason.
The statement came a day after Robertson's account of a fling with Fiennes on board the flight and later at a hotel in India was published in a British newspaper.
Fiennes has not commented on the incident, but spokeswoman Sara Keene was quoted as saying in News Ltd. newspapers that the actor was seduced by the airline stewardess.
"She initiated the encounter," Keene was quoted as saying. "She was the sexual aggressor."

If this woman had any sense, she would have behaved in a professional manner, and just ignored Ralph, but no, she had to go for it and shill her story. And as for Ralph, he's just as guilty as she. I think his spokeswoman should think about how ridiculous her comment is. I laughed out loud. Regardless of how famous Ralph used to be, the rules still apply. Same goes for the Lisa.

I'd always hoped that the exorbitant fares of business and first-class travel included some sexual favours, you can't get your money's worth on champers alone.
