Beckhams on the P-Diddy
Last updated at 09:07am on 28.03.07Just days earlier they had missed out on the champagne-fuelled showbiz event of the year.
Which may explain why David and Victoria Beckham went some way to make amends for skipping Sir Elton John's 60th birthday with a raucous night out of their own, 48 hours later.

David and Victoria Beckham: The couple partied P-Diddy style in London with the rapper, and came off slightly worse for wear
Emerging from a late night bar and restaurant in the early hours of the morning, after a heavy night out with the American rapper P Diddy, the couple stumbled into their waiting car, giggling like naughty school children.
Mother-of-three Mrs Beckham, wearing an off-the-shoulder grey t-shirt - and no bra - and black trousers, appeared to be on particularly good form.

Leaving exclusive restaurant Nobu, the couple who have spent little time together, appear glum
After clambering rather inelegantly onto the saloon's back seat, the 32-year-old former Spice Girl collapsed into a fit of giggles before dozily shutting her eyes and sprawling herself around her husband's neck.
Sporting a white Arran knit beanie hat, Beckham, 31, gave a weary half-smile as his apparently tipsy wife slumbered on.

It is little wonder that the pair was exhausted though, after joining their friend, P Diddy - real name Sean Combs - at the American-themed brasserie, Automat, for a late-night tipple.
With concerns still hovering over the subject of her weight, it is not known whether Mrs Beckham opted for the diner's signature dish - a £12, 10 oz hamburger.

P-Diddy partied with David and Victoria after his concert was cancelled disappointing 65,000 fans in London
Given that she had enjoyed dinner at the nearby eatery, Nobu, a few hours earlier - where the couple ordered champagne and shared plates of Japanese sushi, black cod and sashimi - it seems unlikely.
The couple's latest night out - this is the third time in seven months that she has emerged looking a little fragile from the trendy London eatery - came just 48 hours after close friend Sir Elton's lavish New York birthday celebrations.
The Beckhams' noticeable absence prompted speculation that the couple has fallen out with the singer and his partner, David Furnish. There was however, a simpler explanation.
Mrs Beckham was unable to make the festivities because she had already committed to a prearranged photoshoot for the paperback cover of her fashion book, while the footballer, and ex-England captain, was due in Bristol to launch a new soccer website.

Got to say, the home office got this right. If his management had had any sense they would have consulted with the home office and got confirmation that he would be allowed in to the country before booking the gigs.
It's the usual arrogence of "the laws don't apply to me" kicking in and they've caught a cold over it. Good, maybe now they'll realise that the laws do apply to them and that they should think twice before trying to ride roughshod over them.

Why book a concert in a country which you have been banned from, in the first place? In the hope that 'cos you're famous you might get your own way?
It's their own fault their fans are disappointed. They caused the issues, they must deal with the consequences. Dragging their fans into it helps no-one.

To suggest that Snoop is someone who wouldn't cause trouble is just silly. The last time he was in the UK he was arrested for violent disorder, an incident so serious he was banned from the country for life, he is also wanted in Sweden for drugs charges and is currently awaiting trial in the US for gun, and drug offences. Do your research before you label this idiot a role model. Making records doesnt make you a role model. Mooseph - do the Home Office know something you don't? Clearly!

Yeah, great role model he is - having been arrested 4 times in the last year on drugs and firearms offences. He's a talentless birdbrain, reason enough not to let him in the country.

I find it quite unsettling that a popular celebrity that gives and does a lot for charities and his fans would be banned because of a minor previous incident. Yet, we're quite happy to open the doors to anyone and their mother to do as they please. He is a respectable performer, not someone who might cause trouble, as the authorities think.

Snoop is a role model and we should not be banning successfull black musicians from the country. Are the home office trying to tell us they know something we the public and all his celebrity friends do not? This government gets everything wrong so I'm not really surprised by this stupidity at all.

I'm glad that the UK decided not to allow Snoop Dogg in the country. I find it quite frightening how many youngsters embrace the gang culture and 'idols' like Snoop do nothing to help this. There is always trouble whenever he plays so we should be grateful that it has been prevented this time.

The Home Office were completely wrong to ban Snoop from the UK. Compared to others has hasn't done anything wrong at all really. A lot of people have been let down because of this and will be out of pocket but the Home Office didn't consider this when they started throwing their weight around.

I think the Home Office were right not to allow Snoop Dogg into the country. He sets a bad example for youngsters and shows that we will not tolerate bad behavious from visitors to our country. Though I do feel sorry for the people who had purchased tickets for the gig though.
