Paris Hilton: Please God, save me from jail
Updated 15:07pm on 22 May 2007Nothing's going to save you Paris, no matter how hard you try. The heir-head was spotted in LA carrying a self-help book The Power Of Now and - wait for it - a Bible.
If ever there was a cry for help this is it.
Paris is desperately trying to convince judges that she's a good girl who would never, ahem, breaks the law.

Paris Hilton with some new reading material in LA
Her "good behaviour" last week may have worked to get her 45-day sentence halved but we seriously doubt this latest show of holiness will save her from prison.
Still, a bit of wholesome reading might make the days fly by when she's in the slammer.

The photo was obviously a setup that her publicist arranged. He should have told her to wear a bra for the attempt to influence public opinion.

What if she really is reading it? Who are we to judge?

I pray this serves as a wakeup call for Paris and a reminder to all of us: God should be our priority, not our last resort.

Good for her, I hope she turns things around.

Next thing you know she will be wearing a designer habit and diamond rosary and saying look what a good girl I am.

She's using the bible as a prop. Disgusting.
She deserves to go to jail and is not above the law.

No one is beyond redemption. Christians need to be praying for her to place her hope and find forgiveness in Jesus Christ.

She is so fake, and transparent it's not even funny. Being someone who has been to jail a short time for a DUI charge this is only fair and I feel a little better about our justice system after hearing she is going to jail herself, for the same thing!

I am just waiting for the next time she is arrested for drunk-driving.
There is a six month minimum for the second offense.
Mummy Hilton will have something to really complain about then.

I hope she reads the Bible and not the Power of Now - that is perhaps the most idiotic book I've read.

The Bible has the power to help Paris find life's purpose, fulfillment, wisdom, peace and most importantly, salvation. I pray as she seeks these valuable gifts for her life, that she'll come to realize that everything she needs is in the Bible. I pray too for her to find a good Christian friend that will help mentor her to find these gifts that are available to all people, rich/poor, famous/infamous/unknown, beautiful/homely, you/me.

It must be nice to be famous. She could have slaughtered and killed 50 children on a school bus in front of the judges, and they would still reduce her sentence and pamper and give her the best jail sentence. "VIP" treatment. Must be nice to be so rich.

This Bible looks like one of those the Gideon Society puts in motel rooms all over the country.

Boy, how convienent that she just happens to be holding both those books so everyone can read the titles - give me a break - if there's ever been a publicity stunt people... this is it!

It is ALWAYS right to turn to the Word of God. Paris - Jesus loves you - He died for your sin - you can have forgiveness if you trust the payment He made for you when He died on the Cross. Read the book of John to find forgiveness.

Give me a break. It never ceases to amaze me how people will 'turn to God' when they want to get away with something.

God is very good! I hope pray the Word of God touches and teaches her His goodness.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Bible she's carrying appears to be a Gideon's Bible she took from a hotel room.

Most of the Bible's hardly wholesome reading, especially the Old Testament, but perhaps she takes comfort in the fact that modern justice is far more clement than ancient Hebraic law? Better the slammer than being stoned to death.
