Rod and Penny show off their wedded bliss - and an enormous diamond ring

So it was little wonder newlywed Penny Stewart was keen to show them off as she honeymooned on the Italian Riviera.
The new bride of singer Rod Stewart, 62, was keen to share her joy at being wed as fellow holidaymakers gawped at the size of her rocks, estimated to cost up to a cool £500,000.

The centrepiece of her wedding jewellery is a huge glittering princess-cut diamond set in a platinum band studded with smaller diamonds, which make up her engagement ring.

Ring it in: Penny has unveiled her new diamonds
Model Mrs Stewart, 36, now also sports a diamond-studded wedding band on the same finger, costing a more modest £5,000 and matching her husband's wedding ring.
An onlooker said: "She was displaying them to all and sundry and seemed very proud and happy to be showing them off.
"She and Rod looked very much in love and were inseparable, holding hands and touching all the time."

Mr and Mrs Stewart: the couple are honeymooning in the Med
The bride, describing the moment Stewart proposed, said: "I opened the box and he had bought me the most amazing princess-cut diamond engagement. It was classic and striking. "I was stunned, threw my arms around him and burst into tears."
Yesterday her rings were on display for all to see on the Italian island of Elba off the Tuscan coast.
The pair, who have chartered a £100,000-a-week luxury yacht for their two-week honeymoon, dropped anchor near the island and went ashore for the day.

Lancaster leads the way on their afternoon stroll along the beach
With eyes only for one another, they strolled along the beach hand in hand before stopping at a waterfront restaurant for a bite to eat.
Mrs Stewart, wearing a broad-brimmed sunhat and a revealing white dress showing off her yellow swimsuit underneath, could not keep her hands off her new husband.
As they clinked glasses of white wine, she kissed his hand and teased him by taking pictures of him. They even giggled as other holidaymakers mobbed them to take pictures and ask for autographs.
There was no sign of their 19-month-old son Alistair, who was thought to be in the care of her hospital administrator mother Sally Lancaster.

Rod and Penny sunbathed in the afternoon before heading to their wedding reception
The pair wed on Saturday in the exclusive Italian resort of Portofino before 100 family members and friends.
Stewart paid tribute to their relationship as "the most wonderful romance of my life" after they tied the knot at La Cervara, a medieval former monastery with stunning clifftop views of the coastline.
The newlyweds left Portofino the following day onboard their £20 million yacht, the 164ft-long Lady Ann Magee.
Boasting six ensuite cabins, an al fresco jacuzzi, sauna and jetskis, it will be their home for the next few days as they sail at a leisurely pace back to their home in the south of France, dropping anchor at holiday spots along the way.

The singer, who has been married twice before, became engaged to his wife two years ago after proposing at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
He was left free to marry the former photographer after settling his long-running divorce battle with Miss Hunter, 38, just seven months ago.
They wrangled for more than a year over his £100 million fortune. Before meeting the New Zealand born model, he was married to Alana Hamilton from 1979 to 1984.
Earlier this month Stewart dedicated a rendition of The Way You Look Tonight to Penny when he performed at a black-tie reception in St James Palace in front of the Queen and 150 guests.
